Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Money in Motion Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Money in Motion app and website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in a clear and transparent way. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at support@moneyinmotion.org.

1. What Money in Motion Does

Money in Motion is a budgeting and financial planning tool designed to help users organise their money using a simple structure (Bills, Spending, Savings & Sinking Funds). It is not a bank. It does not access your bank account. It does not provide financial advice.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Money in Motion is designed as a local-first app. This means:

  • Your budget data is stored on your own device.

  • Your income, expenses, savings goals and debt details remain on your device unless you choose to enable cloud sync.

  • If you delete the app, local data may be permanently removed.

We do not have access to your local data unless you enable optional cloud sync.

3. Optional Account & Cloud Sync

You may choose to sign in using a one-time password (OTP) sent to your email address. If you do, we collect:

  • Your email address

  • A secure authentication identifier

  • Budget data required for syncing between your devices

Cloud data is stored using a third-party backend provider (Supabase). We use this data only to authenticate you and sync your budget across your devices. We do not sell your data, share your data for marketing, or use your data for advertising.

4. Website Forms & Email

When you fill in a form on this website, we collect your first name, your email address, and — if you give it — your church’s name. If you send a speaking enquiry, we also collect your town, your rough timeframe, the kind of event, and anything you tell us about it, so we can reply properly. We use these only to send you the emails you asked for. They are stored securely in MailerLite, the service we use to send email. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom; use it any time and your details come off the list. We never sell your details.

5. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

  • Bank login credentials

  • Card numbers

  • Transaction feeds

  • Location data

  • Contacts

  • Biometric data

  • Advertising identifiers

Money in Motion does not track you across other apps or websites.

6. Analytics

At present, we do not use behavioural advertising trackers inside the app. If analytics are used in future, this policy will be updated.

7. How Long We Keep Data

Local data remains on your device until you delete it. If you create an account, your synced data remains stored until you request deletion. You can request deletion by emailing support@moneyinmotion.org from the email address used to sign in.

8. Your Rights (UK & EU Users)

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your personal data

  • Object to processing

To exercise these rights, contact support@moneyinmotion.org.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. However, data stored on your device is protected by your device security, and no system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Money in Motion is not directed at children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at https://moneyinmotion.org/privacy.
